Electric vehicles (EV) and autonomous driving technology have accelerated the transition towards the realization of the “mobility society.” That combined with a growing number of new entrants from other industries and the formation of business alliances and joint ventures has vastly altered the automotive industry. Advances in software, auto financing and payment systems, and the collection, management, and analysis of big data (which the automotive industry traditionally has not utilized) have resulted in the need to address novel legal issues.
